GRADUATION
We are certain that you all are anxious to see your teenagers and celebrate their accomplishments.

Graduation will begin at 10:00 AM and conclude on or before 11:30 AM on Saturday, 30 June 2018 at Randolph Macon Academy, 200 Academy Dr, Front Royal, VA 22630.

PARKING:  There is free parking on campus anywhere in a legal parking spot or along the curb as long as it is not a fire lane.

WHERE:  Graduation will take place OUTSIDE on the football field.  There is limited bleacher seating and no shade.  You can bring a blanket or folding chairs if you prefer not to stand.  Photography and videotaping is allowed during the ceremony.

CHECK OUT  PROCEDURES: After the graduation ceremony, parents will wait outside while the cadets check out and retrieve their belongings from the gym.  For maximum efficiency, parents are NOT allowed to enter the gym while we are out-processing the cadets.

Commercial travelers will be checked out first and transported to Dulles International Airport.  Due to airport security regulations, we cannot escort any cadets to their gate.  All commercial travelers must be able to traverse the airport and find their gate independently.

Please note that all cadets will be required to change out of their uniform before departing campus.  Therefore, if you want pictures of your cadet in uniform please take photos immediately after graduation on the football field.  Once the cadets enter the gym, they will depart that building in civilian clothes or PT gear.  You may give your cadet civilian clothes after graduation to travel home in but they may not arrive with civilian clothes in their seabag unless they are arriving by airplane.

Thank you for entrusting your recruits to our training command.

Travel Safely,
The Officers and Staff Cadets of Freedom Training Contingent

What Our Cadets Are Saying

Q: What do you think makes VIKING Division special?

The characteristics of the individual cadets are what makes our unit special.  Each and every cadet has the passion, motivation, and will to make themselves and our unit better. We all have a strong commitment to the unit, and most of us make the corps one of our top priorities. The pride we possess for the VIKING Division pours out from each of our cadets when we are at drill, training, or other special events. One unique aspect of our division is our pursuit of brotherhood among the cadet leaders. The leadership team makes it a point to bond with one another, which strengthens our combined ability to lead during and outside of drill. This promotes unity within the cadets, because it allows them get to know each other’s characteristics and how they operate, which ultimately promotes a stronger bond between us. "
